The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) reported that there are 1.5 million Nigerians living in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
This assertion was made during a two-day Nigeria-Saudi Investment Forum held in Abuja.
“Reports say there are about 1.5 million Nigerians living in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,” NiDCOM stated.
According to the commission, the Investment Forum was to create opportunities for investments between Nigeria and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
NiDCOM said the event attracted more than 50 Corporate and portfolio investors., and also featured a hajj and Umrah exhibition
The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, (NiDCOM) Mrs Abike Dabiri-Erewa stated that the Investment forum is a fall-out of the just concluded Nigeria Diaspora Investment Summit.
Also, during the event, the Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Nigeria Adnan Bostaji said, Nigeria and Saudi Arabia shared a common history while encouraging participants to export opportunities from Nigeria to Saudi.
The participants included Nigerians in Diaspora who are visiting Nigeria for the First time.
