Creative industry can contribute a lot to GDP, TGMAAN tells Tinubu

The Golden Movie Ambassadors Association of Nigeria (TGMAAN) has urged President Bola Tinubu to pay more attention to the creative industry as it can “contribute a lot more to the GDP”.

The Association in a congratulatory message to the president urged him to “put round pegs in round holes to make the creative industry prosperous and positively influence development in the industry value chain”.

TGMAAN statement reads in part; “Your Excellency, your emergence despite all odds is as a result of your doggedness and commitment to a cause you believe in.

“We at TGMAAN are urging you to hit the ground running to create enabling environment for all and sundry as promised in your campaign policy statement named “Renewed Hope”.

“We are really hoping and waiting with bathed breath for a renaissance. The entertainment industry at large are hoping for an unprecedented government support to blossom, as contained on page 54 of your manifesto, where you said, “We will also review the legislative and enforcement frameworks for intellectual property protection in Nigeria”

“The entertainment industry needs to be more viable in order to contribute a lot more to the GDP, the new government must therefore put round pegs in round holes to make the creative industry prosperous and positively influence development in the industry value chain.

“We are wishing you all the best in achieving a Renewed Hope for Nigerians. Congratulations. Your Excellency.”
