The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth has promised to sanction any South-East politician who speaks any violent language out of misplaced anger.
This is coming after the group’s observation of the anger outburst of Alex Chioma Otti, the suspended APGA Guber Candidate in Abia.
In a press statement made available to Lanre News by the media adviser of the group Collins Kalu Mkpa Esq, the group said it will sanction Otti for “throwing up inciting words on Abians against a sitting Governor”.
The statement in full;
(1) Eventhough we don’t interfere in internal wrangling between any prominent sons and daughters of Igbo land but we’ll never fail to halt violent languages spoken in the midst of misplaced anger
And capable of truncating the peaceful atmosphere we enjoyed in the South East, the best time to judge or pass any verdict on any administration is the the end of the tenure of the administration,
But throwing up inciting words on Abians against a sitting Governor,is not acceptable and We Urge further restraint on heating the polity through unnecessary viteprative rethorics aimed at distracting Governor Okezie Ikpeazu and put Abia on flames, as such actions against Governor Okezie Ikpeazu immediately after the 2019 Abia State Governorship election tribunal declared him rightful Winner the Otti, portrays Him of playing politics with bitterness and rancour using visible challenges of the state to Curry favour.
(2) Alex Chioma Otti,Suspended APGA Guber Candidate, should as a matter of urgency should be strategizing for the future elections through accepting the hands of friendship extended to him by Governor Okezie Ikpeazu immediately the verdict of the 2019 Abia State Governorship election tribunal,
And working in synergy with the Government and help the State towards addressing whatever challenges emanating from any peculiar situation, or show maturity in engaging constructive criticism in private with the Government rather fanning ember of discord and engaging in unnecessary viteprative rethorics aimed at attracting pity and showing weakness,on that note,
We will not further tolerate any tirades purported to incite hatred on any sitting Governor in the South East,as such actions will attract heavy sanction and punishment from the custodian of Igbo nation in the future.
(3) Igbo Youths Urge Abians to disregard the recent harassment and threats to Governor Okezie Ikpeazu emanating from the rethorics aimed at sowing seeds of discord,
We will surely recommend Alex Chioma Otti, to the Presidency for appointment for political reasons, and urge Governor Okezie Ikpeazu to immediately focus on speedy response on the challenges and reposition of Abia State for a greater level where all and Sundry will be happy to appreciate the visions he has for Abians,
He should not be distracted by the recent tirades of Otti, but still forgive his detractors for they are only energetically reposition him to do more.Abians will pray for Otti.
