Ohaneze reveals alleged plan of faction ‘to take Nwodo to meet Buhari’

Ohanaeze Ndigbo

The Igbos’ group, Ohaneze Ndigbo has stated it has proofs some Igbo leaders are planning to arrange a meeting between Chief John Nnia Nwodo and the president of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari.

The group made this known in a statement made available to Lanre News by its Secretary General, Dimm Uche Okwukwu.

The full statement below:

The Ohaneze Ndigbo have observed with studied silence the plan and plot by some Igbo leaders to take Chief John Nnia Nwodo to meet with president Muhammadu Buhari on October 17, 2019.

Unfortunately, for unsuspecting Igbo Leaders in the cabinet of President Buhari had agreed to be part of the delegation without knowing that Nwodo will be part of the meeting.

The planned visit is aimed at rehabilitating Nwodo. The Ohaneze Ndigbo is shocked that Nwodo who took all steps to frustrate the re – election of President Buhari in April, 2019 would agree to be part of the visit. It shows his level of depth. No wonder he betrayed late Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe and many other Igbo Sons in the past.

Nwodo had in September 2019 stated that President Buhari lost the Presidential election to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, regrettably, the Igbo leaders hiding under the banner of the South East choose to Smuggle Nwodo into the Presidential villa.

Ohaneze Ndigbo hereby reassure the President that the majority of Ndigbo are in support of him and wish him well and we are confident that he and the APC will be victorious at the Supreme Court of Nigerian before the end of the year.

We sincerely, thank Mr. President for releasing the required funds for the completion of the ongoing rehabilitation of the Enugu Airport, The release of the said funds defeats the sole purpose of the visit.

Ohaneze Ndigbo is greatful to Senator Chris Ngige, Cheif Chibuike Amaechi, Dr Ogobonnaya Onu, Eze Isaac Ikonne, Richard Ozubo, Osita Okechukwu, Prince Paul Ikonne, etc, great men of honour, character and courage who played significant roles and ensured that Mr President electoral fortunes improved in the Igbo speaking States in the 2019 Presidential election.
