The leadership of the South East Youths has commended the governor of Abia State, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu for the total support the group claimed he gave to the health of the president general of Ohanaeze Youth Council Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro.
The group noted his quick intervention and support is widely appreciated by the south easterners at home and diaspora (“Ibu nwanne eji aka mba”).
The press statement made available to the media by the group’s president general, Chief Goodluck Egwu Ibem reads;
“We are very convinced that the support to gave to Isiguzoro that has been championing , defending Igbo cause and the president of Nigeria of Igbo extraction project, is to ensure that he fit , strong and healthy to pursue a dream that will benefit the entire Igbo Nation.
“Governor Okezie [Ikpeazu] have been a lovely and supporter of Igbo cause and he has just demonstrated his brotherly love to the OYC president general Mazi Isiguzoro by ensuring that he got the best medical treatment. We indeed commend his magnanimous gesture and concern.
“We urge not to relent in his goods to Isuguzoro and Ndigbo in general.”
The group also commended the Ikpeazu for building the Enyimba Economic City. It noted Economic City will provide jobs and business opportunities for youths, women and men.
“We salute his brilliant idea of building Enyimba Economic City that will provide jobs and business opportunities for our teeming youths , women and business men.
“The jobs and business opportunities will not only be for Abia youths , but for South East Youths and Nigerians in general.
“The Enyimba Economic City when completed will eradicate the challenge of unemployment in the zone. It will encourage our brothers in diaspora to come back home and invest in zone.
“Those persons who have the plan of traveling abroad will cancel it because what they are looking for in foreign country has been brought to their doorstep.
“We therefore urge him to remain steadfast on his resolve to take Abia state that is commercial nerve center of South East to the next level.”
