The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has said he is in the 2023 presidential race to do what is right for Nigerians.
Tinubu stated this in a tweet posted on his verified Twitter handle on Monday.
The former Lagos governor said he is in the race to answer “a higher calling” which is his love for Nigeria.
“We are not here to do what is comfortable. We are here to do what is right for our people and our country,” the tweet reads.

“We are here to answer to a greater, higher calling. That calling is the love of Nigeria. We dare not miss this chance because we cannot be sure of another.”
The APC candidate, whose choice of running mate sparked criticisms in different quarters, has been meeting with political bigwigs to gain their support ahead of the 2023 elections.
On Tuesday, he had a meeting with Nyesom Wike, governor of Rivers state, in France. The latter is reportedly deliberating on whether to back the APC candidate in the 2023 presidential election.
