The National Youths Service Corps (NYSC) was on Sunday lured to respond to the issue of certificate forgery by the former Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun.
A Nigerian on the social media platform, Facebook, with username: Chii Okey while responding to the NYSC warning that Prospective Corps Members with fake credentials to stay off the NYSC Orientation Camps asked:
“Our former Minister of Finance forged her exemption certificate which led to her resignation when Premium Times newspaper uncovered it. Why have NYSC not applied for her arrest since it was NYSC certificate that was forged. Are laws meant for certain sets of people?”
Okey was reacting to a press statement released by NYSC “Don’t Come To Camp With Fake Certificates, DG Warns”, which reads in part “anyone caught, especially graduates from the universities in West African sub-region with the intent to undermine the integrity of its mobilisation process with fake certificates would be arrested and prosecuted.
