Aso Rock Crisis: Unlike Jonathan, Osinbajo may not succeed Buhari in 2023 ― Ohanaeze

Amidst the alleged crisis in the Nigerian presidency (between the “cabals” and Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo), the Igbos Youths in a bid of actualising the vision of an Igbo person as the president in 2023 advised Prof. Osinbajo to resign.

The advice was communicated by the group in a press statement signed by Okechukwu Isiguzoro and made available to Lanre News by the Secretary-General, Okwu Nnabuike.

The statement reads in full:

(1) Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide observed dilligently the Ugly trending in the polity constantly abused constitutionally by many State Governors and Elected LGA Chairmen but this trend uproariously queried in Some quarters why the failure of President Muhammadu Buhari not transiting power through the National Assembly to Vice President Osinbajo as stipulates in the Constitution before embarking on a private visit to London from Saudi Arabia, as what might be rumoured as prompt response to perceived allegations on Vice President Yemi Osinbajo taking decisive actions in the past when Power was fully transited to him as Ag President, constitutionally contrary to decisions which President Buhari will overlook naturally if confronts in such circumstances as Chief Executive, but Osibanjos actions betrayed the minds of some Powerful persons in the Villa, it’s weighty enough to make Osibanjo popular ahead of his boss, exactly how Atiku became Powerful VP ahead of Tourist former President Obasanjo before 2003, and Jagaban Tinubu never torelated his deputies, Senator Kofoworola Bucknor-Akerele who had strained relationship with him before 2003 Lagos re election and Femi Pedro impeached after he Purportedly resigned as Lagos Deputy Governor in 2007, Buhari irrespective of Critics still accommodates VP Osibanjo.

(2) Vice President, Yemi Osibanjo is a good man but unlikely to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023, unlike President Goodluck Jonathan scenario, where Jonathan emerged as President after Yaradua, which is unlikely to repeat itself as President Muhammadu Buhari is destined to hand over to the South but not definitely VP Osibanjo, because of the fear that Osinbajo had shown signs of implementing the 2014 Constitutional Conference report and policies that will dwarf Buhari’s main agendas,so definitely the North perceived that South West had reaped all the developmental projects and policies of this regime, and Surprisedly Tinubu never sees anything wrong for President Muhammadu Buhari signing the offshore bills in London without handing Over to Osibanjo, shows the two elephants might clash ahead of 2023. VP Osibanjo show listens the wisdom of his people, Afenifere and respectfully resign as Vice President and concentrate on his pastoral evangelism which is bigger than Vice President of Nigeria.

(3) OYC is Confidence that Power will definitely shift to the South, and Urge Atiku never yield to Pressure to battle for 2023 PDP ticket as he should show maturity and reciprocate the gesture of igbos in 2019 by supporting a Nigerian President of Igbo stock 2023, PDP and APC should zone their tickets to South in 2023,as a way of respecting the principle of Rotational Presidency which is best ingredient that stabilized the Unity of the country and deepened our Democracy since 1999,any further attempt to thwart this gentleman man agreement will further fuel distrustful enemity and agitation of marginalisation, as for equity and Justice to reign, South East will definitely be the only zone favoured for 2023 Presidency, Igbo Youths laud all the statesmen who had lend Credence to this rightful clamour for a Nigerian President of Igbo stock, Mallam Balarabe Musa was right when he Said ” All of us should go to the South East and search for a man on the same equal Pedigree like the Great Zik of Africa”, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide assures Nigerians that a New Nnamdi Azikwe is currently amongst us, we will surely present the New Zik of Africa at the right time to Nigerians before 2021 December.
