The serial numbers of Apple products are useful alphanumeric codes that can tell you more about your Apple device.
These numbers (11 or 12 digits) can help you learn more about your device from the location where it was manufactured to the date it was manufactured. You will also need it to check the product’s warranty, schedule a repair, or make an insurance claim.
Common Places to Find Your Apple Serial Number
Most Apple products have their serial numbers pasted on:
Apple ID Settings
The serial number of your iPhone, iPad, or Mac is embedded somewhere in your Apple ID Settings.
You can easily find it by navigating:
Settings> Select your account>Select your device> Find your serial number
It is almost the same procedure on a Mac:
Open System Preferences > click Apple ID.
Apple ID Website
You can find the serial number, model, and version of your Apple products on the Apple ID website using any device. To do this:
Sign in to your account on the website > Click Devices. > Access its serial number.
However, you can’t find the serial number of accessories like iPod on the Apple Website.
The Original Invoice
The invoice or purchase receipt you were issued at the Apple store where you bought your Apple product may not always be available. But if it’s handy, you can glance at it to find where your serial number is printed.
The serial number is a lot easier to find if you bought your products online. Open your email and search for emails with subject lines like:

Your Apple Invoice
Your Receipt From Apple
Open any of such emails; you’ll find your serial number attached.
