The Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) has announced July 9 as the burial date for its founder, Prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua, popularly known as TB Joshua.
Prophet TB Joshua who died on June 5 was also the founder of Emmanuel TV. The 58-year-old was reported to have died after a church programme.
His death was officially announced through his church’s Facebook page on June 6.
“On Saturday 5th June 2021, Prophet TB Joshua spoke during the Emmanuel TV Partners Meeting: “Time for everything — time to come here for prayer and time to return home after the service,” SCOAN wrote in a Facebook post.
“God has taken His servant Prophet TB Joshua home — as it should be by divine will. His last moments on earth were spent in the service of God. This is what he was born for, lived for, and died for.”
Announcing the burial date, Dr Gary Tonge, a friend of the ministry and international member of the church, said the week-long activities will start from July 5 to 11, 2021.
According to him, the funeral activity is tagged ‘Celebrating the Life and Legacy of Prophet TB Joshua (1963-2021)’.
He also noted that all of the activities will be broadcast live on Emmanuel TV, available on GOTV, DSTV and streamed live on Facebook.

Quoiting the late prophet (TB Joshua), Tonge said; “The beauty of our achievement is when we no longer live and our achievement is still there, continuing to linger on in the eyes and ears of children yet unborn”.
He also revealed that “the news of his [TB Joshua] departure has led to an increase of 600,000 followers on the TB Joshua Ministries Facebook page, reaching a total of 6,200,000, which is the largest of any religious figure in Africa.”
Tonge described TB Joshua as a friend to all and enemy to none.
Meanwhile, the committee on the burial kept mum on who is likely to succeed TB Joshua; but noted they already have the permission of the Police, and State Security Service (DSS) to close the road during the burial activities.
There are however indications that Mrs Evelyn Joshua, the wife of the late prophet will replace him as General Overseer of the church.
Evelyn and Joshua were married for 31 years and had three children together until his death.
France-based AfricaNews reports that elders of the church met and declared Evelyn the successor to the late televangelist.
TB Joshua was one of Africa’s most influential preachers with millions of television and social media followers. According to report, more than 15,000 people from Nigeria and abroad attended his weekly Sunday services.
