From recording jingles for DJs on Lagos’ streets to being embroiled in multiple controversies and releasing global hits, Portable’s rise is one for the books. Here is everything to know about Portable Zazu Omolalomi.
Who is Portable?

Some fans call him “Portable”; others, “Portable Zazu”. His real name is Habeeb Okikiola Badmus.
A breakout single remix titled “ZaZoo Zehh” but popularly referred to as “Zazu Zeh” by many music fans in late 2021 brought him to the limelight. More chart-topping songs, eccentric controversies, and a seemingly loud mouth have kept the Nigerian singer, rapper, and songwriter in the tabloids since then.
Nicknames
His nicknames or local parlance “street names” include Ika of Africa, Olówó Sony, Wahala Musician, Dr. Zeh, and Idamu Adugbo. When you hear “Wahala! Wahala!! Wahala!!!”, it is most likely Portable Zazu behind the mic.
How old is Portable?
The Olówó Sony was born on March 12, 1994. He is currently 31 years old as of March 12, 2025.
Where is Portable from?

Portable was born in Abeokuta, the capital city of Ogun State, a state in the Southwestern region of Nigeria. However, from his online activities and media reports, the street-pop artiste currently lives and sites his businesses in the Iyana Ilogbo area of Sango Ota, Ogun state.
Portable’s parents’ names
Portable was born into the family of Chief and Mrs Badmus.
Wives and children
Ika of Africa, a father of eight, has multiple wives and mistresses.
Ewatomi Omobewaji, or Queen Portable, is Portable’s first wife. Omobewaji gave birth to two of Omolalomi’s sons (Iyanuoluwa and Opeyemi).
Portable’s baby mama, Honey Berry, welcomed a baby boy, Akorede, in late 2022. Only a brief split till June 2023 has separated the couple since.
Akinyanju Omobolarinde, a Nollywood actress, nicknamed Ashabi Simple, had a child for Portable, Fitilamihan, in June 2023.
However, there are other women in Zazu’s life, including the mother of Portable’s first child (Ogooluwa). His first girlfriend has remained in the background since he became famous.
Portable also had a turbulent romantic relationship with Queen Dami, a former wife of the late Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi III, a first-class Yoruba monarch.
Education
Portable’s controversial nature and rash use of words have made many wonder if he is educated. However, the Zazu crooner shared in an interview with Jahbless on his podcast “Jahbless Original Intelligence” that he attended Iganmode Grammar School in Ota, Ogun State, for his secondary school education and later proceeded to Kwara Polytechnic, Ilorin, Kwara State, for his tertiary education.
Dr. Zeh stopped his education at the higher institution to pursue his budding music career.
“Everything scattered at Kwara Poly. I only did a National Diploma. I don’t have NHD yet. The talent got into my head, and I needed to make moves.”
Career
He became famous in late 2021 when the Zazoo Zeh remix hit the charts. Before then, his prolific career has kept the streets buzzing with singles like “Egungun Be Careful” and “Expensive OG”.
Portable’s “Tony Montana” song with Skepta in 2024 topped the charts for days, and further increased his acceptance among fans.
The Ika of Africa recently boasted that Olamide became more exposed to the international community after Zazu, while simultaneously calling for another collaboration. Although his claim cannot be substantiated with any undisputed fact, his fans might be eager to await another top collaboration.

On his rise to fame, the CEO of Zeh Nation narrated in an interview that he initially met some people who almost killed his career with ‘over-packaging’.
“You know if they don wicked you severally. So I brought the whole craziness into the music industry.
“Even if you want to do business with someone who rips you off, make sure you let them know that you are aware of the kind of person they are, but you still want to do business, but they should also be mindful that you are not weak,” he said.
“They know say I sabi sing, but they did not open the door. I have met a lot of people that said I’m good, but it all ended there. They will sign you and keep you in a room, even when you meet influential people who intend to sponsor you, but they will kill your career with over-packaging.”
