Some Nigerian banks have announced the early closure of their branches in preparation for the Christmas celebration.
Guarantee Trust Bank (GTB) in a statement shared with customers said; “We would like to inform you of early closure of all our branches on Friday, 24th December, 2021”.
Informing of the closing time, GT Bank said all its branches will close by 2pm except in Lagos where closing would be extended to 3 pm.
Likewise, Union Bank of Nigeria, in its notice to customers said all its branches will close by 2pm while normal operations will resume on Wednesday, 29th December, 2021.
The Federal Government had earlier declared Monday, December 27 and Tuesday, December 28, 2021, as public holidays.
