Pastor Enoch Adeboye is the General Overseer of one of the largest churches in the world, The Redeemed Christian Church of God popularly known as RCCG.

The Church, RCCG, has a presence in over 165 countries in the world with over 23,000 parishes only in Nigeria.

Who is Pastor Adeboye?

Pastor Adeboye whose full name is Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye was born on the 2nd of March, 1942 in Ifewara, Osun State, to Moses and Esther Adeboye. He was born into a very poor family but was determined to change his family status.

RCCG’s Adeboye Education and Career

He Attended Ilesha Grammar School, Osun State in 1956 after which he proceeded to the University of Nsukka (UNN) where he started a degree in mathematics but however finished his Bachelor’s degree in the University of Ife due to the Nigerian civil war at that time.

In the same year 1967 his graduation, he married his beautiful wife, Foluke Adenike.

He was ordained as the General Overseer of RCCG in the year 1981 by the founder of the church, Pastor Josiah Akindayomi who founded the church in the year 1952.

Prior to his call into the gospel ministry, he was a mathematics lecturer at the University of Lagos and at one time a part-time lecturer at the University of Ilorin.

He planned to be the youngest vice-chancellor in the whole of West Africa, but as said by him, he took a good decision to yield to the call from God.

Pastor Adeboye’s Age

Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye just recently celebrated his 80th birthday on the 2nd of March, 2022.

Children

Pastor Adeboye is married to Foluke Adeboye. The marriage is blessed with four children who are all happily married.

In order of hierarchy, Adeolu Adeboye, Bolu Adubi, Dare Adeboye, Leke Adeboye and they are all ministers of God too.

Sadly, the recent death of Pastor Dare which occurred on the 4th of May, shocked many. He died at the age of 42.

As of the present, Pastor Adeboye has 13 grandchildren.

Some online platforms quoted his estimated net worth to be 39 million US Dollars making him one of the top ten richest pastors in the world (this can’t be verified independently by Lanre News).
